Cathy Kozlowicz has worked in literacy organizations for more than twenty years. After working for the last twelve years in improving literacy for adults, children, refugee and English as a second language students in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Kozlowicz is excited about working with a fabulous Board of Directors to take literacy to a new level!
Kozlowicz is passionate about communicating about literacy issues, empowering students to be successful and recruiting new students to literacy programs. Her goal is to create a structure so all students, volunteers and employees will be successful and realize and appreciate their strengths.
Kozlowicz has an eclectic background in social services, public relations and teaching. She also wrote 1500 news, features and health stories for many local and national publications and presented literacy-based research at international and national conferences including the International Congress of Psychology (Cape Town, South Africa), the International Congress of Applied Psychology (Melbourne, Australia). She also did grant writing for a Children's organization in Ecuador.
Kozlowicz is pursuing her doctorate in Adult Education at Capella University. She is excited about meeting many literacy supporters. She also is a nationally trained ProLiteracy Tutor Trainer, a Certified Grant Writer and completed her 120-hour TEFL certificate.

Janet Marino Donovan
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Janet Marino Donovan, MBA, ABD
Janet Donovan was born and raised in Milwaukee. She is very proud of her five sons who are all her favorite as individuals. Donovan is a first generation college student and is passionate about helping others achieve what they didn’t think theycould and increasing the quality of life for others. She never stepped on a college campus until she was 37 and a single parent back in 1996.
She began her educational path by earning an Associate Degree in Business from WCTC then the journey continued with a BA in Business & HR and an MBA from Ottawa University. Most recently working to finish a Ph.D. in Business Leadership and Management at Walden University, studying Emotional Intelligence.
Donovan has a background in healthcare and education, She is currently the Human Resources Manager at the Wisconsin International Academy and was the Department Administrator in Anthropology at UW Milwaukee for the last several years. She has balanced budgets as high as 4.5 million budgets at private and public companies! She is also President of the Samuel Morse-John Marshall Student Faculty Alumni Association, volunteered on other educational boards including College Possible, Milwaukee Promise, and Read Across America.

Jenni Gauthier graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Herzing University in August of 2015. She also holds an Associate degree/technical certificate in financial planning from Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC).
Gauthier is a dynamic financial professional with more than 12 years in the finance field with financial and administrative positions including accounts verification specialist, personal banker-supervisor, teller, back office, accounts payable and deposit servicing representative.
In the above roles, Gauthier supervised, trained, empowered and monitored employees, managed financial transactions in a fast paced environment, performed monthly audits and maintained high accuracy in balancing accounts.
Gauthier believes in Literacy For All’s programs as she knows the importance of having tutors available for working college students!
Teresa Sanfilippo was an adult basic education student through another literacy organization. She received her high school diploma at Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) in 2008. With hard work, she received a phlebotomy technical degree from WCTC in 2014. She worked as a phlebotomist in a professional setting.
Lauren McCool has volunteered for literacy causes with various organizations in the Milwaukee area since 2003. After working with Executive Director, Cathy Kozlowicz, in serving students in the past, she is thrilled to help build an organization to meet students’ changing needs.
McCool’s dream is to end poverty. Critical to meeting this goal is showing people how talented they truly are. Systems and cultures change, but everyone deserves to find joy in his or her efforts. She wants to help Literacy For All bring people to their potential.
McCool has six years of experience as a coordinator. She has managed cross-functional teams, facility service providers, event staff and global committee meetings. She has assisted with Informational Technology upgrades and marketing campaigns.
McCool has a degree in English. She is excited to meeting people who support our students.
Elaine McCarty GPHR, SPHR
Human Resources Consultant
Elaine is a Human Resources professional with broad experience in human resources, general management, organizational development, operations, and strategic planning. She has achieved two professional certifications in Human Resources: Global Professional in Human Resources and Senior Professional in Human Resources.
In addition to her professional certifications, Elaine holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. She is a member of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business as well as several professional organizations including the Society for Human Resources Management.
Originally from Philadelphia, Elaine’s professional experience in Human Resources began in 1996 when she was an employment administrator for Comcast-Spectacor. There she directed exempt and nonexempt recruiting for 500 full-time and 1200 part-time positions. She was responsible for managing regular and temporary staffing requirements, including conducting new employee orientations for all departments. She also directed the organization’s internship program.
For the past 11 years, Elaine has directed the human resources efforts of a global training company, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI). At CPI, she is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and administration of all human resource programs for a staff of over 200 employees. She directs activities including: talent acquisition, employee development, policy development, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits. Elaine is an active member of the executive leadership team responsible for developing and achieving strategic initiatives.
Elaine’s human resources experience is complemented by over 15 years of broad business experience. She began her career in customer service and worked her up to the position of District General Manager for the Midwest Region where she managed Sales and Operations of four branch offices in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Elaine also serves as an adjunct faculty member for several local and national institutions including Alverno College, Ottawa University, Southern New Hampshire University and University of Phoenix. She instructs undergraduate and graduate courses in all areas of Human Resources, Organizational Behavior and Business Management.
In her spare time, Elaine volunteers with Junior Achievement of Wisconsin. She is a fitness enthusiast and avid cyclist. She enjoys spending time outdoors hiking with her two Labrador Retrievers and her three “grand-dogs”.
